Transcendent Sound Masterpiece???

So how does it sound? what haedphones do you use?

Will it be ok with Sennheiser HD800?

I don’t have those cans, but I do have massdrop senn 6xx, and I think it sounds pretty good with those. I generally use my utopias with it, but I really don’t use it for headphones too much. I mostly use it for 2 channel listening. It was definitely harder to build than a bottlehead crack or mainline, which were relatively easy. The only other tube amp I have to compare it to is a mainline, and I have had the time to do a side by side comparison.

Is it quiet, are the mids rich, does it have extension in the highs and the lows, is it punchy, is it soft, is it dynamic?

I have read some other forums but no one gives too much info.

I mean can it drive 300ohm headphones.

How does it compare with a 1000-1500 euro solid state amp (because this is how much it would cost with tubes and/or upgrades).

Is it worth the money as a headphone amp?
