@zerodeefex - Sorry to be dense, but by "metal plate" do you mean the solid metal version like the prior picture of the Pro sig? Or do the aluminum inserts over the injection-molded plastic version count as well? I have a V2+ Infinity with the metal front and back and would love to have the new FW. Assume that this meets the definition of "metal plate" but thought it would be best to check. Cheers and thanks in advance for the help

GO2Pro (all metal) and GOv2+ with the metal plates around the plastic body are the same with different chassis. The firmware works on both.

I assume this means the GO2A versions will also get this, since they are all metal? Also, will the units now turn on at the last used volume or from zero?

so far with GO2Pro SpecEd Firmware v2.0, it does not start up in last used volume, nor zero.
but at some pre-determined value, which is likely too loud for most IEMs.

btw, found a couple usability improvements needed with the firmware v2.0, (not sound quality problems)
so best we all wait for a v2.1 before begging for firmware images. :D

@zerodeefex - Possibly you can assist me with a technical question. I just received a GO2Pro Infinity and I am running it out of an iPhone - the GO2 is only giving me the option of two filters (green/blue) and two gains (green/blue). Am I missing the secret handshake?

    Thanks.

So the idea of choosing between SKUs is going away. There's going to be one GO2A and one GO2Pro going forward. You should contact them and get the firmware update since it sounds like you got a wrong flash from the factory.

Also, f**k the streaming filter. FRM/FTM is the only filter that should ship with the device. I don't know why there's a choice when one filter is noticeably better than the others.

@zerodeefex Please have whomever develops the firmware change it so that on device reset/initialization the master volume is set to some sane value like 50% instead of maximum.

Having it default to maximum volume is stupid and dangerous for both ears and equipment.

One more: Please mute the analog output while doing a sample rate change. Currently you get a lovely little pop which is not loud enough to be dangerous but is extremely annoying.

Different SKUs? Can you clarify what you mean by this? No more Infinity/regular edition stuff?

    SECONDED.

My buddy just got the V2+ yesterday and today it's glitching out. It sounds like it's shorting out and he's using Spotify through his Mac. He unplugged the unit, and replugged it back in and it fixed it. Then it happened again a while ago. Last night I was over and it glitched out and he unplugged it and we charged it.

Does anyone know what the situation is or how to fix it? EDIT: He says both times it happened, his Jitterbug was NOT plugged in. He plugged in the Jitterbug and he thinks it may fix it. ?

have you tried a different computer and a local folder full of music? My Macbook was making some weird stuff happen with the volume on a specific version of OSX, and it would get fixed with a restart.

Eliminate all other hardware/software issues and then contact LH Labs regarding a fix, they're your best bet.

Does anybody know if the GO2A will be recognized on a WIN10 machine due to the availability of UAC2 support (thanks to the latest WIN10 Creators upgrade)?
Does it work or is there still a LHL driver required (which is not available for WIN 10 yet)?

    Thanks in advance.

The LHLab driver works on Win10 - using it with a GO450 at work. My work W10 machine is still pre CU, so not sure if it'll be automatically detected.

    Thanks Graham,

what i understood is - in case you have the WIN 10 Anniversary update running - that you have to disable the Signature Verification in Windows every time you boot up the machine.
Hence I´m curious if this kind of "workaround' is now obsolete given the CU update.

I have not had to disable any Signature Verification on either my work W10 machine or my prior personal Surface Pro 4.

hmmm....are you turning off the PC or is it kept in sleep mode?
"Workaround" should be required in case the PC will be shut down/turned on again.

Not sure if cross-referencing to a thread on another site is allowed hence I'm hesitating to share the link.

If you're worried about linking Head-Fi, don't stress. It's HF that has a bug up its ass about linking here, not the other way around.

I'm running Win10 Creator's Update on 1 domain joined machine, 1 Intune managed machine and one standalone with no need to disable driver verification on any of them.
