Very cool, pease post a few words about the differences between them. Also your impressions of the new 4490. I have a Bifrost Multibit, but might buy the d/s version for work.
Will do! I'll provide some impressions after a night of listening. To be honest, I think it's a better value than the Bifrost Multibit upgrade ($80 vs $270, factoring in shipping costs), and I'm glad to pocket that extra $200 which can one day go to Gungnir Multibit.
Full impressions to follow, but I feel like I'm liking this more. Oh no, DeltaSigma!!! Bifrost Multibit is a tad bit better in central focus and imaging. With 4490, I feel like I moved back 5 rows, hear a wider soundstage, and stronger bass impact, while sounding nearly as natural.
Bifrost Multibit, IIRC, was lacking that low end. In terms of performance for the buck, 4490 wins hands down, no question.
