I wasnt a huge fan of the original color I saw at the big meet two years ago, but these actually look pretty sharp

Mine are about a year old, and are just on the indigo side of black.

Its a very very subtle midnight blue. I like it a lot. I got a braided midnight blue cable to match.

Could you share pics in daylight, @SoupRKnowva? That might just convince me to get these instead of an HD650, haha.

I agree, I think the super dark purple ish color ends up looking a lot better than the straight black does
