@DigMe Thanks for the tip! I've got a history with buying cables but I gave up and sold off everything some time ago. Been using the stock HD800 balanced cable ever since. I took the plunge on a balanced cable from Impact Audio, will be interesting to see if I can hear any difference with this one :)

        Thanks @powermatic

@Changeling Cool. I don't know that you'll hear any difference or not but it's a great cable. Be prepared to wait. Lindsay makes them to order and mine shipped at right about 3 weeks after ordering.

@DigMe Yeah agreed, I just thought it looks very cool and to get that Imperial Red / Black combo with a hot eidolic XLR plug worth the money alone :)

I don't mind Blackstar instrumentally but honestly I think Bowie's singing sounds horrible on it. "In the vill-ar of Ormen" it's grating.

Maybe it was an artistic choice. The fact that his voice sounds a bit off works with the sound of the album in my opinion.

I don't think there's any doubt at all that it was an artistic choice. I find his artistic choice grating in this case.

Agreed. I've loved it for decades now. Impassioned performances and some great vocals from both Gabriel and Paula Cole.

I don't think I ever really noticed the sporadic finger snaps during verses on Billie Jean before. Maybe I just never listened that closely.

It makes me wonder if that was Michael snapping during his vocal take or if they just had some carefully miced fingers snapping sporadically.

Listen to their (Jackson 5, MJ) old demo songs before they were singles. MJ used many rhythmic clues to get in his groove. JB was knows to uses vocal sounds for instance.

Many people are miserable here from the mountain cedar pollen. It's horrible some years and this year the counts were the highest ever recorded. Check out this cloud of cedar pollen:
