Or several. Jobs would have looked at the current iPhone and said, "Doesn't lie flat on a table...and you have to hide it in a case because it's all glass...time for a firing spree, we need new engineers." (And yeah, I know all phones are like this now, but that doesn't mean it's smart.)
I’ve heard that because cameras can’t get small enough to make their phones as thin as a sheet of paper, they are going to do what they did for the headphone jack: Camera dongles for everyone!!!
@schiit Dongle fi. Macbooks declined too. The white ones after they fixed the plastic cracking issue were some of the best laptops ever. Now they're unrepairable thermal and noise nightmares. And they dent. Dented macbooks don't lay flat. Only good thing is Logic Pro.
Apple cares so much about consumer privacy that they are killing Siri by not allowing themselves to collect consumer data to make Siri "smarter." Alexa is leagues smarter than Siri.
The only thing I like about Siri? She makes me laugh. I love it when she can’t understand what I’m saying and shows me links to random shit. In the early days 80% of the time when she didn’t understand she would show me where the nearest Taco Bell was.
@YMO This is prioritizing and it seems they have set certain goals regarding privacy. @Psalmanazar Apple computers were great when I used them 7 years ago. Glitch free and the best intuitive interface with useful extra features like windows spread, multiple workspaces, proper smooth scrolling. The White Macbook was quite good. I did not find much use for my iMac though.
IMO smartphones were overhyped for so many years. Always looked cute though. They were so useless besides Google Maps and web browsing. My best phone was probably Nokia E51. It was cool and practical.
