@Vtory , you sported the higher end Gustard dac in the past, the SD one ( not the ladder) right? How long did you keep it?

@crenca Just to clarify, both were DS (SD) -- both sabre 9038pro-based. The more expensive one stayed roughly for 1 year, and the cheaper one is still sitting around me. My recollection is that I bought it 3 yrs ago.

Yea, hopping hobbies is "fun". The exploration and ignorance(naivety ?) can be refreshing, but man people can still be wrong. Difficult to find a trusted opinion.

Makes sense. I was looking into the costs of getting into motorbikes recently. A good entry level sports bike lines up with the cost of some top tier, but not orfas-priced audio gear. Honestly, I'd rather the bike. Entry and mid-tier audio gear got stupid good anyway.

What I always feel weird about is dropping money on my cars without blinking, and balking at an audio cable that's $100. Later on I wonder if I'm touched in the head
