Campfire Audio Andromeda + Sony ZX2

Yeah, ya got it. I might let go of my Andro + ZX2 combo. Just posting this here in case anyone here wants dibs on these things.

Campfire Audio Andromeda: green, paint kinda flaked away around the edges and now it looks quite manly. Sound has also become a lot "smoother" over the year so I guess you can say... burn-in or whichever. Will include medium sized foam tips and some silicone tips that I find to work well (keeps tonality) with these. Also, if you'd like, I can include a pair of perforated tips (medium sized) that turns these into a pure midrange machine, with just enough bass (to my tastes) even on 0-ohm source impedance. <- yeah, you only need to swap the tips

$650 for just the IEM. But here's the deal for you folks: (all cables are 3.5mm single-ended TRS)

+ PWAudio No.5 3.5mm cable for $750
+ ALO Audio Reference 8 cable for $800

^ or get all of those for $900. You get all of the cables + the IEM.

Sony Walkman ZX2: excellent condition, has matte screen protector, comes with leather case (the flippy one). It's rooted, Sound Adjustments is enabled/disabled properly and automatically at shutdown/startup. I made sure to suppress/disable the rooting app. Also tweaked some I/O and memory management properties to make the device more responsive, and it's running the much better Nova Launcher compared to stock. Either way, you could just restore the device to factory settings, wipe everything and it'll be back to "normal", though I don't know why you'd want to do that.

If you're wondering "why": well, I'll get married soon, plus I just got a new camera so I've gotta conserve moneh. Plus I find myself unable to even use the IEMs the past few weeks because of how much I always have to concentrate on stuffs at all times, so... yeah, they have been largely unused the past few weeks.

Bills changes to the zx2 are awesome. He implemented the same changes to mine when I had it and makes it much better to use, and makes it so that you never have to fux with shutting off sound enhancement bullshits again. also the perforated tips help to tame the bass levels a bit, highly recommended.

Curious about the tips. 0 zout for me turns the bass boomy/bloomy, in addition to moar. Can you or @brencho post a pic of the tips? Maybe in the Andro thread is more appropriate.

Hey @Bill-P glws man, nice combo setup.

 

If anybody goes for this dream combo, definitely grab at least the PW No. 5. Improves the bass significantly and smooths the highs a bit. I think it's pictured in your photos. How are those connectors working out? They're different from the other 2 types I've had from PW (the aluminum barrelled ones are like GI Joe w/ kung-fu grip).

 

Dropping prices all across the board because reasons. SPC 8 sold on the other site so the price of the whole combo has been adjusted accordingly.

 

Andro gone. Updated thread to reflect that fact. Dropping price on ZX2 so it's essentially a steal for Friends.

 

This is a crazy good deal on the ZX2. Somebody better snatch this up ASAP. I paid $500-ish on mine a few months ago.
