Finding fast dynamics, as fast as fast cars.

Sub q: does orths/electrostatics be fast as the fast dynamics?

HD650 only weighs 260g to the HEK's 420g. Definitely faster. Probably goes farther too.

The "Dynamic Master Race" thing has to stop...

I generally find them slower and not as clean sounding as orthos, but orthos aren't the best either (Dynamic compression, poor imaging etc.) Idk about E-stats as I've never heard them, but the point is that they all have their good and weak points.

I would have nothing against it.
Problem is that playnar manufacturers have crapped their pants in front of serious people.
I was sooo disappointed when I first heard LCD-s. I was struck by disbelief, I couldn't understand how these things have so much following.
Every now and then another one comes out following exponential curve in pricing that is different flavor of same shit.
At least the few respectable dynamic transducer manufacturers make some slow progress.

Why is it necessary to get other members nodding at your personal choice? If it works for you, just brush it off.

The "playnar" joke is just a cheap shot from the fog anyway.

Btw equating the LCD line to that truck is definitely fair.

Where did you get that? I love my HD600s (dynamic) quite a bit especially from the MJ2, also the Ether C (planar). Drivers don't really matter if the headphones sound good.

I get the playnar joke but it's so overused that I think some people especially new ones here will take it seriously and perhaps miss out on some good planars/e-stats.
As I said earlier there are compromises in both dynamic and planar designs.

Because this kind of jokes is part of the culture of this place, dating back to the start, when there was only a handful of sailors, and not the whole royal navy fleet like now.

First rule of this ship "get along"

Top speed, 0 to 60 or quarter mile?

If you want fast sounding headphones, bump up the treble and hope your hearing remains intact.

"The Fast Dynamics" is a great name for a post-punk revival band.

Whathappened, what I mean is, fast as in viewing waterfall graphs from measurements.

@k4rstar thanks for turning this into a troll thread, kid. You have bright future

Stop being a dick. You're the one who started a thread with a vaguely worded question.

    Frequency range or CSD?

Also does fast equal flat and clean here with only a slight curve (HD800/HD800S/HD600/HD650)?

You are still confusing us while not giving us context to work with (as in you current set-up and/or set-up you are working on).

Also this is a troll, @k4rstar is much more human.

K1000 has razor sharp dynamics that can challenge stats ... save for the bottom octave which has limited impact. HE560 is a pretty snappy planar to my ears.

The K1000 needs a powerful amplifier. Great headphones/ear speakers in the right settings.
