Interesting. I love some EQ myself and I'll give this a shot. Is this a trial or actually free?

It is totally free and full version. You do need to download ILok license manager to activate it, but ILok is free. It is a very nice replica of a 1960 EQ that was a standard in recording for many years. It's nice, clean and warm. You can read more about it from the link I posted above.

Quick question to those familiar with this: if I want to install it on multiple computers, do I need to create multiple accounts and get different licenses?

    It should work like this:

Go to File -> Preferences then Components-> VST plugins. Click "Add...". Locate the DLL where you installed the VST, click OK. Now click Apply to restart Foobar

Now go back into File-> Preferences then Playback-> DSP manager. Add the new VST from "Available DSPs" to the right. Click Apply. Does that help?

@DomieMic65 - I use JRiver Media Center. To install it, just follow these instructions:

First, open JRiver. Then on the menu bar, select "Player" and scroll down to "DSP Studio"

With DSP Studio Open, click "Manage Plug-ins"

Then click on the first option "Add VST Plug-in"

Your Windows file explorer will open. Put the following in the Window's Address Bar:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Vstplugins\Soundtoys

    Then select SieQ.dll

JRiver should automatically add it to your list in your DSP Studio.

    That should do it!

Well in my computer there isn't the Directory you describe!

@DomieMic65 - try to re-install the VST. WHen running the installer, select 32-bit not 64-bit. Your plugin directery should be in progam files(X86), not just "Program Files, which would indicate that you perhaps installed the 64-bit version when running the installer.

I would uninstall the VST in Windows, then re-install making sure when prompted to select 32-bit

You're most certainly welcome. JRiver is a 32-bit program, thus 64-bit plugins and VST's will not work with JRiver. JRiver has no current plans to develop a 64-bit version of their player at time, but there are talks that they may work on developing a 64-bit version in the future.

So if you use any other VST's or plugins, make sure they are 32-bit versions for JRiver otherwise they probably won't work.

Anyway, I am glad you got it working! Enjoy!

P.S. That EQ is awesome for Mixing and Mastering if you do any studio recording
