Stax SR-007A and SRM-717

These don't get enough use because I don't spend much time at home and when I do I usually reach for the HD800 because I'm more used to its sound so I'm selling this combo. The 007A is an SZ2 bass port modded version which darkened the sound a bit and added a surprising amount of sub bass. I can remove the tack if asked. It also comes in the original box and case, where it has spent during the time it is not used. The 717 is in great condition with no dings or scratches that I can see.

But for Friends I'll take off $50 from each part. I'd like to sell the amp before the headphone if I do have to split the combo so it'll be $750 (sold) net to me for the 717 and $1,150 for the 007A. ~$1,800 for the combo~

For Bay Area people, I'm taking an additional $50 off if you can pick it up from @velvetx and give me $1,100.

I may consider partial trades but I'm not particularly interested in anything other than maybe a Krell Klone or an Ether C.

I'm also selling a HEM8, unopened, for $379.

 

I bought the same combo, SR-007 and SRM-717, in February for $2100. I thought that was a fantastic deal, this is just mind-blowing.

Wow great deal. I've sold a SR-007 mk1 alone for that asking price before.

 

@velvetx bought my amp but the headphones are still available! I'm shipping the 007A to him because I want a comparison between the modded MKII and the MKI so if anyone in the Bay Area is interested I'll sell them for $1,100 as a convenience discount.

 

Can confirm the 007As are amazing headphones. Can't believe these haven't sold.

 

I would snap these up in a moment if I had the cash on hand. I've got a Stax amp arriving that will be lonely with no accompanying headphone to use with it

I've listened to these and they truly are worth building an amazing system around. If by some extraordinary circumstances they don't sell soon, you'll only be torturing this poor peasant who is watering at the mouth to own these.
