Thank you for the translation. I really did try reading it, but it felt like the first half of the movie Interstellar, and I didn't get a feeling that the article would redeem itself at the end like the movie.

Oh crap. Stillborn wrote it? Holy cow. When did he join the Shillington Society?

Yo, I'm the member in question there.

I like the TH-X00 quite a bit, actually. I find it to be the better sounding headphone and I mentioned that in my review.

Sorry I made it sound like a straight advert -- wasn't going for that. I was going for "typical Head-Fi Hype Man" vibe since there are tons of those folks around, since I was starting the thread on it and was trying to play to the HF crowd. I'll reign it in a bit. :)

Yo! Ah, cool, just missed it then. Probably this comment that gave me exactly the opposite impression of what you just said. No harm, no foul though!

Ah, I see how that comment could be read that way. That wasn't the impression I wanted to give. I've edited that comment to give more commentary.

I do occasionally due to the classifieds, but also due to the lack of an MHP1000 thread here. I could always make one, but I doubt people would be interested haha

It definitely worked. I didn't look too much at the thread, but that first post you made was HF at its best.

Who's we? I still find the DT770s to be very comfy, well sealing and good sounding for the price in studio-use.

I actually hated Beyers until I got the T90. Its a much more "fun" sound than Beyers are used to. And they are ridiculous detail monsters. Nasty treble spike but my chain tames it.

I follow a small number of subscribed threads. I did some chat on the Schiit-book thread recently. I take one look at the front page and move on quickly. Multiple advertisement blocks with as much design appeal as a page of newspaper classified ads and that horrible, trendy-marketing-speak language for the captions. It surely can only appeal to the avid consumer who buys something new every week and aches for the stimulus to do so. The kind of person who rushes out during TV programs to buy all the products they saw in the commercials!

If I still had good enough ears to be a hifi buyer, then, apart from this site, I'd follow Inner Fidelity. That's all I'd need.

I'm not sure who "we" is either, but I really enjoy my dt880 pros for the same reasons. Guess once again i'm not part of we.

I also just got the hammer on a post I made referencing a review made here. I got a PM from a mod telling me for a variety of reasons mention this place was banned on HF. I also figured it may be deleted but since it was a legitimate review and I wanted legitimate feedback from the HF community on the guy's review (to see if they agreed/disagreed since I'm looking into buying it) I was hoping *maybe* there was a chance it would slip through. Nope. If I hadn't already known of the rivalry between HF and this place (not that I'm involved in any way), I would have figured it out pretty darn quickly after that PM/deletion. I'm sure they don't care though.

I recently stumbled on a reference over there to the "Super Best Audio Forum" that, to my amazement, has survived several months without being censored into oblivion. Maybe we should pick up that domain as a redirect.

Hi guys! New to this forum.
I'm really happy there are other places than just headfi.

I normally browse on /r/headphones and was lurking around here for a while. I feel headfi just got too dumb.

Welcome. Hype-fi and /r/circlejerks can be fun at times but if you're looking for substance it's the wrong place.

Reddit in general is a poor place to look for substance. Sure, sometimes there is a great piece of information that doesn't start or continue a circlejerk, but usually that's not the case.

I joined Head-Fi at the start of my audiophile journey, and after turning over my gear 5 times, I now look back and notice how every major forum on Head-Fi is universally praising of the latest products...I mourn how much funds and angst I could have saved had I come across SBAF earlier...
