I'm going to adjust to having the site adjust to what browser you are using when I build it out...
It will read what type of browser... and put the right size out there...
This is just out there for settings and domain name and server settings pointing to my bigddesignflorida.com...

It will take me a while to put up the work that I do...
Then you will see some nice design....

My Krell humms like nobodys business with RCA inputs.....
I bought the Cardas Audio Gold Shortout Pins..... to no avail..
Still major humm.....

My review still awaits with a cable that is not a standard Pro Audio XLR that the Musician Industry uses day in and day out that has to be reliable....
I want the good stuff... that we all pay a little bit more for.... like what I ordered from the Morrow Audio Company....

Then a week with those cables with an already 5 day break-in from the Company....
I should have a good idea of what $10,000.00 DSP controlled Speaker sounds like....

Right now...
It is so smooth...
But micro detail.. is not the fish for the day... It's Good Friday and I don't have the proper cables for the best speakers ever in my grasp.....

I can be frank with you....
The DSP and the sophisticated super expensive crossover is totally worth every cent that it costs. The integration of the whole....
Well..... you'lll see when I do the review....

This is quite different than anything I had imagined, actually....
I thought detail was king... but smooth is maybe something we always don't think about...
Ear strain is a problem with the new digital music...
There was never a problem with a good recording with Vinyl.... was there?
Quite the contrary.....

So this new set of speakers has brought a concept that I has not even had in my mind...
Now this may change when my XLR Morrow Audio MA4 Reference Cables finally show up at my Door....

They cannot.... Repeat.... They Cannot..... Show up at my Door .... Soon Enough.....

It's next to impossible for me to judge a almost $30,000.00 system with substandard cables, no less a substandard DAC....
I feel that a better DAC than the Yggdrasil is coming from Schiit....

That's why I'm waiting another year...
Don't want to have to sell a Yggdrasil when the new one comes out.....

This is a slippery slope when slid.....
In the Audiophile world...
When you start really getting into the above $20K spending....
You better make sure you are doing things at the right time....

Many have ridiculed me for my choices.....
In the end.... the choices.. I make will reap the benefits...

You don't even know right now where my system really stands...

One of the nicest sounds I ever heard came from vintage recovered-from-cinema speakers. And a huge amount of work had gone into it. But it was all strung together with... well, stuff I'd think twice about wiring a table lamp with. It's just wire, the guy said, it does its job. I think he's right.

Funny... Thad, I was thinking of you when I mentioned those expensive little solid copper cables I buy from Mike Morrow. I myself bought about $60 worth of wire to try to do it myself.
So far..... I have not had any luck. I have cut and not stripped the little wire not effectively too many times with my new stripper that I bought. I can't seem to find my wire stripper that I have for 30 years now that is your normal really broken in one that is my good friend. I have new ones. So I bought one of those automatic strippers. From the company that the pros use. I keep screwing up with it and ruining the wire. Arrrh. I still have my strippers...... Just when I moved from my Condo, 10 miles away from Mom..... They are.... don't know. They were my good friend, and flipped open just breathing on them. Can't freakin' find them for about 2 years. I know they are here. Yikes. So the wire issue is my cutters.

The technology is Mike Morrow is using solid copper wire. It is a small solid copper wire. He uses multiple runs of wire. The more money you have.....
The more runs you buy.....
The sound pays off with more runs...
That's all...
It's really not some Voodoo...\
Just little solid copper wire...
There really is no argument, as you can see now...

Those recovered from Cinema Speakers are quite the speakers. My father had a set down in the basement. They were about 11lbs and 8" full range in an auditorium cabinet that was quite sturdy. They were Altec Lansing branded. Robust construction are the norm for those Cinema speakers Thad, that is for sure. I'm sure you throughly enjoyed yours. I got about 15 years out of mine.
Funny story....
I put the Cinema Speakers in my pretty good Car Stereo at the time in my 1st Car. Well my Car was a Station Wagon. A '66 Dodge Monaco Wagon with Fake Wood sides and a 383 Dodge Magnum Engine. It was Light Blue in color and cost me only $300.00 in 1975 at the time. Only had to buy brand new tires and I was driving at my 17th birthday.....
Anyway. I got my license, and parked my car across the street from my home. Within a month or two.....
Car Stereo is stolen....
All except for the Cinema Speakers in the back of the Station Wagon...
Ha Ha.... They were the most value to me....
Later years... they were part of my large Heathkit Speakers and the 8" Midrange forever in my dashing days as a high school graduate and a lover of good looking women in my life. Boy was I a lucky man back then. A bit of a good fortune came my way... with the best looking woman seeming to be on my arm at those times. I was the perfect monogamous boyfriend, that didn't blab, and had the best looking girl of anyone. Just lucky that way....

That Cinema Speaker must have brought some great memories to you as well. I just wish I still had it. I once got these subwoofers for my Car Stereo from Belguim that reminded me of the Cinema Altec Lansings...... but just reminded me... they weren't full range...but the Belgian Heros were sitting on the back floor of my Car in boxes that I had built Custom to fit on the back floor, and had massive internal bracing, and super fancy allen bolts showing up top, and other just flashy stuff on the top of the sub box design that made them cool. They were driven by a Carver Amplifier that pushed out massive amounts of amperage and along with another one driving my other 4 speakers..... would cook batteries on a 4 month basis. Then I had Soundstream Tweeter amp in the Glove Box. And 2 15" Subs in the Trunk when I wanted to go really off the chain. But I really just liked to use the Belgian Heros..... The 8" super subs were just so quick and audiophile sounding. The 15" subs were just for the Car Show. I didn't like that stuff in the Trunk. No subs in trunk in my designs.....

 

My friend's system was my first taste of that kind of speaker. You know what? I could not even recognise a tweeter as being a speaker, outside of its housing and away from its horn. It looked like some kind of munition!

Probably most guys buy this stuff only from dealers. Maybe India is behind in knocking down places, so there is still stuff being literally thrown away. But this was not being driven by high-power amplifiers. these speakers were, it seems, super-efficient, and my friend's Quad tube amp, not much younger than me, sounded super.

It was very much a just the music experience. Like being there, is a cliche, but sometimes cliches are true,

It's a Sunday Drive in the Supercharged Stage 3 Roush Mustang while the whole town is inside their favorite Church....

But his musical talent of getting all the piano, pedal steel, guitar bass, drums..
The arrangements are far above so many in Nashville that I consider him a Music Genius....
From Deep in the Woods in Alabama. Some of the best Piano arrangements and Pedal Steel that I had ever heard....
And I have many hours in Bars sitting right next to these type of Musicians and hanging out with them...

I'm busy as shit with 10 deliveries a day, girlfriend in the hospital and doing 5 million things at once and getting 3 hours of sleep if 'm lucky..
I just setup 2 full offices with 4 Thunderbolt raid arrays...

lol, I didn't mean it in a mean way, It's just that for web design, seems like it should be more than a photograph of your computer with text overlayed.

 

I had just bought a domain name from Network Solutions...
I had the server already with aplus.net..
I just finished changing the DNS server info to send the new domain name to my server at aplus.net...
They give you a website coming soon placeholder....
I took a pic of my monitors with my windows phone and put some text on it and my phone numbers..
The first day that I had connected my server to my domain name I made some phone calls to 4 previous clients and told them that I have come out of retirement....
They could just type in the domain name and get my numbers... and weeeeeeeee
That's the gist of it....
All my design templates and JavaScript Code and Software is up in NJ in storage....
My son has to tear apart the storage and send about 500 DVDs of all the shit...
It will be a good month and a half before I have a common layout of the site..
But I will be doing work for others... they take priority up in NYC Metro area...
The have wads of cash...
The site will be good... But now that Flash is out... all my Actionscript that I had built for years is garbage...
I had put well over 10,000 hours into Flash buttons, templates and all kinds of Actionscript that I have..
Sucks... But I have just as much Javascript little widgets that come in real handy for my clients...
They really come first..
I am really doing a lot of focusing on my T-Shirt production due to Spring and Summer. I can make an easy 50K in the Season if I get my stuff out in time..
