That reads like classic 'polarity is reversed in 1 channel' issue. But this is LGV60 phone, right? So really shouldn't be. But - any software way to reverse polarity on 1 side?
Yes, the phone. Inverted polarity between sides would still separate left from right, right? I can hear both L and R on both sides at the same time. In this (linked) vid, the inverted relative polarity does sound like inverted relative polarity, but the correct polarity is totally muted, along with the sine sweeps, and if I change the phone settings to mono, it is also muted. https://youtu.be/2ZrWHtvSog4
It seems to think there's a mic input in addition to headphones when I plug them in as opposed to just the headphones. Some wacky TRS plug to TRRS socket stuff going on?
The adapter @Biodegraded linked didn't work, same issue. I notice that there will also be no sound when just one of the sides of the headphone is unplugged and I reinsert the jack, but when both are plugged in, both channels are active. Seems the positive leads are being bridged and grounding doesn't work unless both leads are active???
