    Is this actually a RAD-0 or is it the cheaper MPL-0 with the plain wood cups? Those retail for 1699. Still cheaper than new, but not as crazy of a "deal"...

    I hear you. I'm not sure how to tell beyond asking for the serial number and checking with Rosson Audio. There were the occasional RAD-0s with wooden cups before the release of the new, cheaper model, I believe.

    I asked TMR and they said that it was indeed the RAD-0 and not the MPL-0, but they couldn't provide a serial number when I asked for one.

    Thinking out loud, could be pad seal or voice voil soldering which are easy to fix. If it's driver may be SOL, my gut tells me the former two more likely. Who wants to roll the dice? Maybe I want to, ugh, first world problems.

    Check the output transformer before you buy this moth si45. I think the original si45 uses electra print transformer and this rebuilt one seems uses different ones.

    I ended up making an offer and buying these and they have the best parts of my old LCD-2r2 and LCD-3 plus better timbre and I'm loving it. Thanks for the heads up!
