A classic, and great sound: Blue Night Shadow by Two Of Us

EDIT: Just realized that this song was a hit in 1985 only in German-speaking countries, so most of you probably don’t know it. A nice one, IMHO, and not a typical charts song at all.

I really like the singer/symphony balance of this recording - sounding really spacious through YggyA2>Lyr+>Atrium:

Classic of course. I just love a good recent recording with modern ADC chain that captures the texture of the strings & other instruments, the "dimensionality" of the human voice, etc.

One of those unfortunate stories where the band only released 1 album and later disbanded due to the death of their guitarist.

I miss this voice (a lot) ...her breathy, silky R&B shouter voice.

I grew up viewing Dusty as an R&B singer, a really great one. But much later I found how wide her range was. This woman absolutely killed on standards.

This is my favorite Bacharach tune, sung by the composer & Dusty. When she takes over at ~1''05''' the whole tune lifts way up. It's a perfect collaboration.

Kinda surprised no one commented on this artwork sticking the woman + male companion \ in Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks"

Just got to turned onto Comet Gain from their recent BBC Radio Sessions release that was one of AllMusic Guide's weekly picks.

Their "Love Without Lies" single from 2008 was the first song of theirs that came up on youtube for me. To my ears, one of the great lost singles from the '00s.
