I was toying with this but decided I didn't want to mess with trying to set up a VPI arm on a Linn

The base unit : ebay - this just cycled through once without any bids - the seller may just accept asking price : $899

and the classic 10" tonearm on USAM for $550 ( he had it listed for $450 before it rolled over - so relisted at $550 = I suspect he would accept $450 - I have an email notice that proves it was $450 if any bargaining is needed )

so all in - a VPI 10" tonearm for less that 50% of asking.

Well that's super intriguing and local to me... but I know nothing about this kind of speaker.

 

I do not either if its close worth a visit to hear, cabinets look well made, might be good, might suck

Eddie Current Black Widow 2 for $1600 on Head-Fi. Looks like it has a problem with the 1/4" output, though.

I don't actually know what the going rate for these is, so I'm not sure how much of a deal this is, but you don't see them for sale often.

 

Rare to see but probably the highest price I've ever seen for a bw2 amp that has some issue to boot.

Very interesting! My BW2 is also #26, how could there be two #26s. Bought mine for $950 in late 2023 and seller told me one channel would occasionally cutout and a simple replugging of the rca would restore the sound. Turned out there were more problems than that one minor issue. Had buzzing noise and left channel sounding softer. Finally got it fixed this month by my relative and back to enjoying the amp once again.

 

Conversation for maybe another place (and I believe it already has been done) - but maybe use that money towards a new warrantied MJ3 or other new top dog SS amps around that price. Seems way too high priced for being BoRkEd
