Playing around with “nearfield” subs seems to be fruitful. The mains are high passed at 100hz for now, not sure where i put the 80 and 90hz modules. In stereo. The subs are placed on either side of the couch and since they’re front firing subs i rigged something up so they’re facing upwards.
Just because why not, looks cool and i can keep the cables hidden easier.
The couch is up against the wall with a big acoustic panel behind it and honestly it hasn’t sounded this good in this room. Fast tactile with weight, distance wise they’re about halfway the distance from the mains to my ears. They sound time aligned. And being this close takes out a lot of the room.
I’ve seem similar things done in HT and it works great for stereo too!

I have a friend that asked me to interpret Rythmik's measurements for his FVX15. I sent him this in response..

I'm running two 8" Monoprice subs in my office setup, and they both buzzed no matter what I did elsewhere. I used a cheap cheater plug for both of them and the issue was solved for. There are a wide variety of opinions on how risky this is, and I don't know if I'd do it if I was running JBL Fathoms, but it seems fine for now.
