Someone mentioned they heard a difference... Shielding depends on the local noise. Easy to do the inside just a pain...
I know the Raggy guys use the intona so they would be more likely to notice on a good ladder dac.... I think. .. Just a silly experiment... But cheap and a bit of fun..

Edit: no idea if this is as good but..
This is similar but cased in an aluminium shell.

edit 2: yes it's the internals of the Intona in a nice looking shell . .. but shielded . ..

Been working too much and losing my sanity, so what the hell, I took my Intona and placed a couple Wifi noise sources nearby. Actually, they're always nearby, but I did a little rearranging to make it obvious. :)

And I wrapped it in tinfoil:

And then, wanting to be as thorough as possible, I wrapped myself in tinfoil. What's up:

And yet, after all that, I simply couldn't hear any difference what so ever. And, FWIW, those USB cables are already shielded to the best of my knowledge.

Gonna call bullshit on that. My "shielded" Fiio E10 in an aluminum enclosure still picked up noise from my cell phone with no problems. Maybe it was the cable.

As I said just a silly experiment, wasn't sure if the aluminum would work, a specialist Dutch firm makes professional faraday cages using copper but people don't have big sheets of copper in the kitchen..... Wasn't sure if it has to be ferrous metals to work and what types of radiation gets through on what thickness.....
@Madaboutaudio haha cheers you made my day... Didn't think that would work... drag a few from CA here... It is the most straight talking forum around..Why I love it here... A cheap trick though so apologies.. no offence intended...
was hoping a more knowledgeable expert would pipe in. If Aluminium doesn't work then a lot of cases won't. .. See a simple experiment does more than get a laugh it proves a point and starts getting real answers but explaining that normally just gets ignored. A bit of cross site asking increases the pool of knowledge... I didn't hear that much but I reconnected my mains supply to the house as it wasn't done properly on my audio mains ring... That did help.. so I am just getting use to that change... and I wont recommend anyone touching mains equipment... Period..
I do however have some copper tape I will line the inside the intona but the foil seemed a quick way to try and if others can see a difference.....Fun and gets people thinking...

I respect people's opinions and experience but it can be hard getting answers sometimes.

I noticed you left your head uncovered. Perhaps a hat is what is in order? Surely this is the solution to digital.

Nice catch, a lot cheaper than MU metal but still expensive from the first quick google I did in work. $53. Probably more expensive in the uk 3M products.. I'll see if we have an RFI EMI guy in work. Most of the Rolls-Royce engine controllers have about 6mm cast cases. They are mainly power and lightning strikes cards...

I have the copper tape already and if I can help others on the cheap and something works...great..... Y I started with the tin foil..
And great anti NSA satellite hats...

Yeah I get you, this hobby can get quite expensive. I get the impression that very few in here have tried Intona USB Isolator, but I'm interested in this as well.

I found I prefer the Regen. And that's not just because I want to be contrary to @Hands all day :)

Though I preferred the Regen with speakers. I think it's different with headphones. I know @bazelio like the Intona with his headphone rig.

I feel the money should spent on proper gear and less on tweaks.

No man is an island..apart from the Isle of man... Even high end gear can be tweaked so the universal ideal doesn't exist but it allows small players in and fills forums with posts about reclockers and copper tape.
The hobby is the least of it.. It's the personalities that make up the whole. Collectors, braggers, techies, data fiends, audiophiles, tweakers.... The common denominator is a small part. The rest is what floats your boat... That's the fun bit.. IMHO
