Anyone have experience with DJI drones? Looking at the Mini 2 SE for myself and daughter as beginners.

I have only briefly used a colleague's Air 2 S, but will just put out there that I have seen deals on the Mini 3 that would make more sense than getting a Mini 2 SE, especially if features and image quality are important. If you are just trying to fly something, there are cheaper alternatives that won't hurt as bad if you crash.

Say what you will about "Deadwind" on Netflix, but S3 has great Porsche Taycan representation.

Saw a Taycan on the road here for the first time the other day. Thought it was a Panamera till I noticed it had no exhaust pipes. I'd rather have a 911 personally, but in reality I will never own either.

911s are now like Rolex sport watches - lucky if they let you buy one (waitlists) especially if new to the brand. But I'm with you.

Thankfully our state university (Maryland) is pretty good and has a competitive Biology program. She's fine with that and understands finances will dictate final choice. But if she receives a generous aid package that doesn't involve much future debt, would love to give her the opportunity to experience a smaller research-oriented school around a large city.

Identity and social context are too easy to abuse these days. Hard work and emancipation are often skipped in favour of claiming some kind of unfairness. Instead of learning from history we get cancel-culture because "unfair = cancel" and context is thrown out. The last 70 years the world changed faster than most people realised.

Thinking of getting a real USB mic to use in place of the puck supplied with the Onkyo, lots of reading/watching to do in order to learn how the app (using MacOS) should be used for adjusting frequencies.

Certain 2009 mono remasters are only available in the Beatles in Mono boxset (those not in the U.S. Albums boxset). You can still find individual 2009 stereo remasters. I purchased Let It Be (2009) new from Target recently to have a backup. Abbey Road (2009) from Amazon too, but the printing on the digipack is blurry so wonder if it's counterfeit. Have a replacement on the way to confirm. Be careful of counterfeits!

I realize you already bought the US albums box set, but I thought I should warn you that The Beatles were not involved with the creation and sequencing of the US versions of their albums until Sgt. Pepper when the UK track list became the default worldwide.

So while there is a lot of good music in the US albums set, it’s a total mishmash with songs from different albums thrown together, singles added in wherever. The music is all good but it’s not the way The Beatles intended it all to be heard.
