    I've never done crew/rowing for real, but I'm getting hooked on the Concept 2 rowing machine at my gym. Lots of fun! Good luck!

    I can't say that I find rowing machines fun anymore. After Endless 2k, 6k, and some 1 hour pieces the rowing machines are closer to hell than fun. Rowing though, that's great.

    I like casual rowing too, but in a nice boat. Quiet and peaceful, just me, 30' of boat (weighing only just over 30lbs), and the water.
