Just curious, what you getting a USB Optical thingy for? Ground loop/mains hum, or just interface incompatibility?

To get around a dac that has shite USB implementation :-).

For what it's worth, I used to use a Chi-fi wonder Breeze U8 which worked pretty well, but my Modi Multibit is driven from an Eitr now (coax S/PDIF) and it seems decent enough.
