I would personally get an 34" ultrawide monitor, or that Samsung super wide one the size of 2 monitors next to each other, if I had the cash.

Have to decide if i want to get something now i'm going with the Acer XB271HU which has almost everything i want... or if i wait until towards the end of the year there are some amazing 34in and 35in coming out, but will also cost more than twice as much...

I use a 29" ultrawide, and I like the wideness, and the 34/35" ones look really good, but they are pricy. I'm waiting for a as-yet-nonexistent super fast CPU to use with a as-yet-nonexistent high res VR headset for flight sim. Prepar3D frame rates leave a lot to be desired, and I think a better GPU won't help much. Detail in VR also leaves a lot to be desired, even comparing my old 1080p TV

I'm on a 34", although 60Hz and 1440. Still, I'd never go back to 16:9 for a main monitor. For one thing, movies look awesome on a high rez 34" and the extra real estate is very very cool when games take advantage.

Yeah i've really been wanting a 34in ultrawide for a couple of years but for now just decided to go with the Acer Predator XB271HU and waiting to see what the end of the year has to bring for new 34in. I think the Evga RTX 2080 XC Ultra + XB271HU will make for a pretty amazing experience.
