    nah, friend got them from a dude on head-fi and said they sounded weird, so I took them home and measured them and one channel had a huge 2nd harmonic and THD spike from below 100hz. popped the grills off and bam. @frenchbat
    I ended up making the hole bigger though listening to the tron album.

    Also the previous owner tried to hardwire them and wired one of the sides out of phase.

    Goes to show once again that most of the failures from that generation of hifiman is user related. Guy probably poked it and said "f**k it I'm gonna sell it"
