Woo secondhand! Being patient is almost always worth it if you can get good deals on some secondhand components (CPU/GPU come to mind) as it brings your cost down so much.

Hmmmm, not so sure they need more power like the Sony EX1000 do. I tried a cheap 4.4mm balanced cable out of my ZX300 and actually did not care for the sound (brighter), and they sound great from an iPhone Xs as well. The stock cable is probably higher quality and it sounded better than the $20 Amazon 4.4mm MMCX I tried.

Interesting, let me try iphone dongle as well. The go2pro stack is not that easy to lug around

+1 on the Saga/Vidar combo. Great synergy with my Code variant; impressive bass, slightly warm and deep, deep layers. Neutral headstage, neither forward or too laid-back. I've thought on moving to a Firstwatt amp, but keep struggling with the 3X cost factor. Probably better putting the money into a better source.

I still think Eitr is much morre easier but i cant help getting curious about that particular connector.
The good thing is that while d2d is very hard to find, the price is not too bad (150$-ish for my case).

I have the assemblage 3.1 fed by eitr but it also takes i2s via the massive connector. Long story but I had a d2d-1 for all of a few days, was kinda neat but alas never meant to be. Too bad they didnt include st optical output on the d2d. Do you think it competes with the eitr SQ wise?

I2se gives p3 better technicality imo but eitr comes pretty close with smaller footprint, please keep in mind that i didnt send p3 in for se+ mod yet, hell , if i ever gonna ship that beast there i will be better of go grab yggyA2 instead lol.

I think it got around 70-80% of what i heard in gov2+ (Say, te02 got more air,speed and less congest in gov2 chain)
It needs a bit more omph i guess
