    Stick with copper if you can, or at least stay away from PEX. I have friends in real estate in Cali that are having issues with rodents eating the PEX plumbing systems. They then have to replace with copper again. YMMV.

    At my first house - a cheap starter home that was built at the same time as a bunch of others, I had a copper pipe leak under the cement foundation. They didn’t put sand over the copper like they should have and the cement corroded the pipe
