    Using the 8ohm out, the Pendant sounds very clean and sharp, which surprised me a bit, yet it gives the HD800 some nice warmth and body. Before buying, I chatted with Zach from ZMF, and he mentioned that the Pendant sounds like a cleaner Mogwai SE, or a Donald North with more bottom end and more forward mids, if that helps give a mental image of the sound (hope you don't mind me quoting you, Zach!).

    Sorry I can't be of much help atm; hesitant to provide comparisons due to lack of experience w/ tube amps. I'm really hoping to get to a meet soon and hear more stuff! Also planning on NOS-ing out the tubes after Xmas and reporting back on that.
