Commerce is mad these days. Either a race to the top, profit-sucking monopoly, a race to the bottom, to give stuff/services away --- just so long as we aren't getting them from someone else.
Yeah I don't think anyone objects to a good deal either :P But when people start buying mostly during sales, companies abuse this by inflating MSRP to try moving huge volumes during "sales" (where the "sale" price is usually the price it's really worth).
It's tiresome, and I'm starting to appreciate companies that just don't play the game (like schiit) and just sell good value products at the price they're worth.
