I wish there were more impressions on his designs. I know someone here built a 7" scanseak build, but that's the only impression I can remember.

@philipmorgan I know a Russian forum where people dabble in speaker building. Many have done Troels's builds with more sane filter parts and generally the impressions are solid.

Oh, cool! Based on what you've seen, how would you say he voices his speakers? I'm guessing neutral-ish, but again, few impressions to go on.

The relatively un-exotic cabinet and crossover he's using for the design you linked to is appealing. Might be the next build I want to tackle.

@philipmorgan I have tried Troels' filter tricks for my own speakers, with similar drivers. The sound is perhaps a bit dark, with a gentle downward slope. I kind of like this. Some time ago he used to put effort to suppress all the crap from the midrange/bass breakups, so it might end up a bit dull. Latelly there are more 1. order filters and simple stuff that is bound to be more lively.
