Focal Clear is still a winner, and the LCD-4z is the best sounding LCD model from Audeze. the Aeon 2 is decent, but sounds recessed in the mids (but better sounding than the original by a good bit).

Did you get a chance to hear the MX4? That was the only one at the Audeze table at CanJam I was able to hear. I walked away thinking it was quite good, but show conditions & all...

@Jinxy245 yes! I wouldn't buy it for 3k, but I would pick it up for half price on a black Friday sale. Very good tonality and very good resolution /speed. Not dark with recessed upper mids/lower treble like LCD-4.

Thanks! that's exactly what I thought, including the price. I've seen it for $1900 B-stock at Moon Audio, but I'm still rather hesitant.

i would think it would have decent reliability, since the LCD-X driver that it uses has had fewer issues than other audeze models. and even then, the warranty service has always been good from Audeze (for me anyway).

@Jinxy245 I ended up picking one up from Moon audio for the above price. I'll let you know my impressions.
