It all starts around the HD650. Search around hear for what people use with them. If you are a tinkerer, you can also mod them for more enjoyment...

    Modi4490 ($150) + Vali ($100) + 650 ($250 used) = $500 total.

Game. Set. Match. You're done pal.

Add another user recommending the HD650 plus a Schiit stack. Any combination of Modi 2 or Modi 2 Uber plus a Vali or Vali 2 would be a great pairing depending on your budget.

Just like to add that although the suggestions above are perfectly fine, don't think this is as far as the HD650 can go. You will see people here scale their HD650 into systems that cost many thousands of dollars. Yes, the HD650 can be worth it. If you like where the HD650 is in terms of sound character, one could be quite wise to just move the other pieces up the scale and not waste time with other headphones.

@ButtUglyJeff Thank you very much for recommendation.. Is HD650 better than HD600? I was told that HD600 is better if someone look for neutral signature and HD650 is abit laid back.

I prefer the HD650 over the HD600, but that doesn't make it a superior headphone. I consider the HD650 more engaging, but that is most likely only because I prefer the flavor. There is a slight treble spike and softer bass on the HD600 that may make someone think its more neutral.

But I'm hard pressed to agree. I think the majority here would be in my camp.
