Side note: got too good of a deal on this 2K copper cable from Carlos but it's reminding me why I never order splitters on my cables, I somehow manage to snag them on shit all the time. Awesome cable though!

What copper cable did you get? My SW51+ is here this weekend getting the the Auteurs/Verite ready.

Got it second hand from Carlos CPA... ZMF 2K Copper 10ft balanced with a 1/4in adapter cable. They are stupid expensive new, would have never been able to get one if he didn't give me a great deal on. I like nice flexible cables which is my primary reason for replacing stock on a lot of hp's. Was going to order another Norne cable until this guy popped up.

@neogeosnk what cable and pads are you rockin' on your Auteurs? Only had my Auteurs a few weeks and have been trying out the Auteur Lamb Perf which are great but also really like the Universe lamb / suede hybrid perf. (wanted the perforated lamb but out of stock, these are lamb on the inside where it counts so figured they had to sound about the same

Auteur Lambs and amplifier surgery cables. Tried the universe pads but it lost most of the bass. I need some mild bass extension. I really like the amplifier surgery cables and were nearly indiscernible to me from an expensive set I have.

They are kinda stiff though and not as elegant as an all copper/silver cable but for $99, it's a steal. This is what I like to hear, both incoming for me currently. On the pad rolling front, don't sleep on Suede perforated Eikon. @ColtMrFire turned me onto those when I owned Auteur previously and they were my favorite. (although from a more relaxed amp the Liquid Platinum)

The more you use it the more you have to wipe off your hands.

If you haven't tried the Universe pads and wants a slightly more neutral sound they are certainly worth a shot. According to the pad guide on zmf's site, on Auteur the Eikon are the warmest, Universe most neutral and Auteur pads somewhere in between. Was a bit surprised to see how much the pads can tune the sound...
