I like doing really deep obscure searches like this, but after like 10 minutes I see your frustration. Seems like 1/2" thickness is the thinnest you can get it. You try reaching out to any of the suppliers?

I couldn't find any 1/4" height anywhere, much less in stock. Closest was 1/2":

Couple other sources had the same in different lengths and widths.

There is a worldwide foam shortage, no, really, just saw a whole article on furniture delays, etc.

news to me! I've been getting ghosted by suppliers who have 1/2" cuts of the foam I want in 1/4". 1/4" is unobtanium for some reason, though I have found 1/4" open cell foams in densities too high or low than I need.
