Hopefully it'll be a little more reliable than their last few "big updates"

yeah... as much as I want to use my roon license at the office, the last few updates were "less than smooth"

The last update (or the one before that...) I picked up the windowing bug on my core machine, where if I shrink Roon to the taskbar and and then open it up again it either hangs for a bit or completely crashes. Not that big a deal as I normally don't bother with Roon's UI on the core machine, but it's not fixed as of yet

I don't allow Roon to auto-update, but that's true with most software I run.

For past 2 years I too have one issue or another after the update.

May be good time to turnoff auto update and wait for some reviews to turn in.

I should probably go set mine to backup seven or eight times a day before the update drops...

I was wondering if it was remote playback, too. As the image in the email I got was of a guy driving a car, I guess it’s that, too.

If they want to provide an experience as easy as the rest of Roon, they’d have to provide the equivalent of a TURN server for voice calls, i.e. a relay server that the audio stream travels through as the home core isn’t directly reachable, or some kind of cloud to host the customers’ audio files. I doubt they can provide this without extra cost.
