I tried researching an airplay option via pi2aes for Apple Music bc of frequent Tidal dropouts and the better selection of Apple Music... didn't get very far into the weeds before giving up
@rhythmdevils only way to enjoy Apple Music as of now is via DDC if the DAC doesn’t have good USB. Streaming of Hi-res file from Apple Music I guess is not possible atm
@Ksaurav402 not stable at all for me, I get scrubs through songs, skip outs and full stops randomly. Tidal looks as though it’s buffering but just doesn’t play. This happens at least every other album. I pay for volumio premium.
@rhythmdevils sometimes you need to fully specify a query to find stuff in the Qobuz catalog, i.e., Artist, Album Title. And even then, sometimes search through Roon won't return it as a top result. Annnd, sometimes "albums" get returned under "other releases" in Roon.
@yotacowboy I'll try that but I don't use Roon. But my biggest complaint is that even when they manage to include an artist in their catalog (which has way fewer artists than Tidal, Apple, Amazon, Spotify, etc), they still don't have all of that artists's albums.
I go check Tidal, and there are 3 more albums in that artist's discography that aren't on Qobus. Why? They've managed to find the artist and add them, why not add all their albums?
I have this issue too, but sometimes (just as yotacowboy said) - the album exists but doesnt show up correctly. If I look up artist + song from an album that isnt showing up, it does show up 75% of the time. If i clikc on the artist (same name) there, it shows up as a separate artist page. Seems like they have a database management issue
