As I'm typing this I can hear my wife's "identifying child abuse" training playing in the background, it's grim. To be clear, she's an elementary school teacher, not an aspiring child abuser.
ponoko is much more reasonable thank you. Also I didn't think about just doing front and back panels for a hammond enclosure, but it would still be over $120 for the panels on FPE, many cuts: 2 switches & 1/4" jack up front + 8 pairs of binding posts on the back. I'm gonna cut up my plastic box with drill/dremel and then decide if I need it to look classier.
... most of the holes for that should just be circles no? , even just 1 hole per binding post/switch/ .25" jack. Probably not so hard with just a drill on a metal enclosure... that's what I did, but no hp jacks~ maybe I clean up the holes a little bit with a small file.
@Wobbletits the switches are rectangular, but otherwise yes, easy to drill. The plastic case is already ordered and I don't think digikey offers free returns. I've squandered a bunch of cash on this stupid project already so I'm just gonna go with it.
