My 8" Wen jointer is perfectly fine for the price paid... so is the Wen air filter I have... so I don't really have any hesitation with the brand... they seem to be a great value.

Okay I’m learning that my problems are less because of a lack of power/setup and more because the blades get a glue buildup after cutting a lot of MDF or plywood. After cleaning with soapy water it’s different

I have Moulin Rouge on DVD and it flunks after one hour of the movie. No noticeable scratches, so I thought it has this kind of defect. But apparently it's not a WB release...

I think you're going to see more and more disc rot issues cropping up in the next decade. I've been seeing this more often with older cds too where the full disc adhesive labels cause them to rot away, seems to be a common problem with self released/indie stuff especially. There are a lot of discs out there with a shorter shelf life than people would assume.

Everyone in the competition struggled at 19ft 4in and the 2nd place guy managed to get 19ft 6in

Mondo Duplantis easily did 19ft 8in. Set a new olympic record at 20ft. And then set the bar to 20ft 6in for a new world record, which he achieved on his 3rd and final try

So sorry to hear of the loss of your family member and friend. Very sad.

If your cough persists, please try to get CT scan etc. My experience... I had a very nasty and debilitating cough for five years. A couple of times a year I'd get sent to the specialist (British NHS) and an x-ray would show nothing. They would tell me to stop smoking and send me away.

        ...

... Right up to surgery itself, they could not tell /what/ it was. Turned out to be a cyst. But it had become infected.

x-rays are wonderful. And what physicians can read from them is incredible to me. But sometimes they do not tell the whole story.

I've seen and heard a few "boutique" headphone amps in the $40k-100k+ range before at a few hi-fi stores overseas before... Let's just say that most of them felt more like a game of "how much will someone pay to show off to their friends" than "make good sound". Two of the amps did sound REALLY good though, better than anything production or custom I've heard here.

Modi Multibit 2 still has the 2-FET buffer that Yggdrasil OG had. Doing 8 discrete actual gain stages for current-output multiplying DACs (4 phases, 4 references) is not in the cards given space and current requirements.

But I thought the TI chips take less mA to run them @schiit, at least if I am reading the datasheet correctly. And still no room/power for a discrete I/V and op amp buffer?
