Lesson here being: never do rando sellers a favor, I guess. Should have just insisted on a refund/sent it back to him. Can see a scenario where he just leverages that he’s not responsible for FedEx’s mistake. Blah.
I did. But yeah, it’s more the hassle that’s getting to me at this point. Would rather have been done with it. I’ve initiated a claim, but don’t have much confidence in FedEx not giving me run around and/or taking their time.
Your lack of confidence is well-founded. It took many, many months for my amp manufacturer's claim to finally be accepted and paid out. Hopefully with a lower dollar item like this it's not as bad. Still annoying either way... Keep us posted!
