    ive been using the default Music app since I got my first iPhone, but ive also kept my entire library in ALAC to facilitate that.

    I have mostly WAV, AIFF, and FLAC in that order. When one says native app, what is that ? iTunes? And is it still a bitch to load music, like having to use itunes to get the files on the phone? Foobar, that is interesting!

    Any reason you do not want to go for a server / client setup? I have been using Plex and that has worked very well. Like Roon, but much cheaper.
