Ros-ham-bro is what i imagine how some people read your name. Wonder if there are others...
Please don't give @YMO ideas about increasing fart power until he takes off and flies around the room like a deflating balloon with added hair.
Rosh-am-bow (bow as in tie, not as in obsequious) is how I read your name.
It's definitely supposed to be Row-sham-bo, apparently from a French word. My roots are also French, although long enough ago it's also not necessarily clear
found some discussion on the name... https://www.reddit.com/r/etymology/comments/b3maiz/origin_of_rochambeau_for_rockpaperscissors/
I chose it because of an episode of Castle where Nathan Fillion keeps challenging Stana Katic to the game and she finally says "No! No more roshambo."
We have a good idea how Rochambeau's name was pronounced by Americans in 1781 because it was the American code for attack at Yorktown. The Continental infantry found it easy to remember, because it sounded to them like "Rush on, boys!"
I first learned of it from South Park... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHliDE1_Hls
