he said some bleep boop, but most of it is 100. don't be afraid of Him, just love too much and he'll knock down so many doors with his bare hands just to shake your hand.

Are we really doing Jesus now?

Actually, a topic I feel quite strongly about. So I ought to keep my mouth shut!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

    Love never fails.

For Jews, the Torah is our national epic. The central story is that God freed us from slavery in Egypt. But there are other incidents that have great meaning. Read, for example, what we read on fast days: Ex. 32:11–14, 34:1–10. (As to divorce, see Deut. 24:1–4.)

@Thad E Ginathom, Nachmanides said just that in the debate at Barcelona in 1263: "Woe unto us if this is how the world looks *after* the messiah has come!" (I, however, would suggest that the world would be a worse place without Christianity.)

"Love is patient, love is kind ... "

Beautiful words. But they are just as beautiful said by you as anybody else. I don't know their origin, it might be you! But they could be said by anyone of any religion or none.

@Claritas --- yeah, said a wise man I once knew: "You want to know about Armageddon? This is it!"

I just lit my Diwali lamp. It is less important what tradition/religion it is a part of, and more important that there be more light in the world.

To be honest, I have no expectations that it will contribute to anything in today's world. My little wicks. But hey :) ...

The planet is only a shithole because humans (many of whole believe they are “saved”) have recklessly exploited it without any thought to what their responsibility is to tend and maintain the planet for themselves and future generations.

As for Jesus, my thought is he was a very spiritually advanced individual whose message has been corrupted and twisted for two thousand years. This is especially prominent when you consider the books that failed to get canonized which paint a much deeper picture of Jesus’ religious vision.

In God we trust. All others pay cash.
This philosophy that has served me well for many years.
There are many religious factions that have invoked the name of God to serve their own purposes of mass control.
