For Jews, the Torah is our national epic. The central story is that God freed us from slavery in Egypt. But there are other incidents that have great meaning. Read, for example, what we read on fast days: Ex. 32:11–14, 34:1–10. (As to divorce, see Deut. 24:1–4.)
@Thad E Ginathom, Nachmanides said just that in the debate at Barcelona in 1263: "Woe unto us if this is how the world looks *after* the messiah has come!" (I, however, would suggest that the world would be a worse place without Christianity.)
Beautiful words. But they are just as beautiful said by you as anybody else. I don't know their origin, it might be you! But they could be said by anyone of any religion or none.

The planet is only a shithole because humans (many of whole believe they are “saved”) have recklessly exploited it without any thought to what their responsibility is to tend and maintain the planet for themselves and future generations.
As for Jesus, my thought is he was a very spiritually advanced individual whose message has been corrupted and twisted for two thousand years. This is especially prominent when you consider the books that failed to get canonized which paint a much deeper picture of Jesus’ religious vision.
In God we trust. All others pay cash.
