Dunno, must've heated something too much and made a short. I'll practice getting a few cheap SOICs onto DIP boards before I risk swapping the IVs on the Modi Multibit!
The OPA627 is also a single channel, not a dual. I usually fry them by inserting them upside down. Reverse voltage kills most of them, and always on the FET ones.
According to the marks on the chips, the adapter board, and the amp, I got all the positioning right, and there aren't any solder bridges between the legs or other visible problems, so idk. But with 8V of DC and no sound at the output (I used phones I could lose, but they survived), there's a failure somewhere!
