    I picked the 2i2 because it was 5 ohms HP out and decent mic preamps. Did not know most other < $200 interface cards had crap single ended ADC interfaces. And apparently nobody cares. f**k!

    The fact that your average ~$200 interface has the performance it does is a minor miracle in my book. Like anything else, you pay for performance.

    Well, in the grand scheme of things, yes. The benefits of mass production I guess. Still, E-MU USB interfaces seem to kick the ass of all of the current offerings in their price range. And they are old and discontinued.

    I have lamented the state of ADCs for some time now. Sigh. Makes me want to just buy a Metric Halo ULN-8 so I can stop bitching about both ADCs and mic pres :)
