2.5 male to 3.5 female adapter cable questions...

Can I use a 2.5 male to 3.5 female adapter cable (like the one pictured) with say, my Galaxy S9+, Fiio A5, and over-the-ear headphones (like the HE-500, for example)? Or would I be better off just buying a 2.5 male to 3.5 female headphone jack adapter instead of the balanced cable version?

Use imgur.com for your photos, and maybe provide specific links to the adaptors in question

The image didn't take because you used the Imgur "Image Link" (goes to the Imgur page), instead of the "Direct Link" (ends in *.jpg).

Are you using an aftermarket 2.5mm balanced headphone cable with the HE-500? Its original cable is single ended with 6.3mm plug.
