Well I guess they are equilateral in blocking stuff in both our countries, thanks for the like. I just got her first 4 live cds in the mail. I'll have to rip and listen tomorrow. But for now, it is time for a glass of Lindemans Bin 45 Cab. Yes, strange that this decent wine plus the ocean voyage costs less than our much closer Cali stuff.

Needs more Bootsy Collins and Maceo Parker with added weirdness. Yes this is about Deee-Lite's legendary 90-ties classic.

@Sqveak Nice tune - I remember that song in high school. They even had that song on an episode of X-files. I can't remember the name of the episode, but it was the one about the boy who could get struck by lightening and thus could control lightening. -Ah I remember the episode title was "D.P.O." from season 3

You can't have the 90s without Nirvana

    Or Soundgarden

Or of course the beginning of the mainstream rap era

I cannot like the song because the Rick James original is so much better. This song shares the fate of the Rick James song. This is house with a good flavour of Soul. Now this song has been lazily oversampled by even people like Chris Brown (see "Show Me"). I refuse to own any MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice music among others. f'ing thieves, rant over.

Aristotle wrote interesting things about copying from, improving on and integrating ideas (synthesis) from others in the "Ars Poetica." Emulation that originates from inspiration is also an option but much harder to define in the arts.

Listen to this and pay attention to the build up and composition. Layer on top of layer of small details driven home by beats, bass lines and melodies. We owe much to the emulation of Classical music. Besides this track is so 90-ties.

The Verve. One of the best bands in the 90-ties in a quirky way. Brit Pop? They were on the mellow side of Prog.
