Catching up on late night. What would you call his current style? Post Punk?

Pretty interesting stuff, the energy is amazing.

No clue. Wasn't my cup of tea...old men should have more dignity than that :p

Really glad other people are watching Colbert, though. Watching the entire show or just the musical acts?

I watch all of it and James Corden, and Trevor Noah. Since I cut the cable cord years ago I have been through Amazon Prime and burned through my fave Netflix shows and canceled that til new seasons are in the tank, I watch the late night stuff on CBS on Roku, along with some live shows of interest.

Yes, Mould is not one I ever got into, and it was a bit funny. I guess I have no problem with the old guys. I still like Daltry, Townshend, and Miller all north of 70 and still look okay doing their thing when on tv. .

EDIt: @Skyline, hahahaha I just really looked at your Avatar, Cinci chili, gosh I miss those spaghetti plates.

Mould is a f'ing legend. He falls somewhere between punk and alternative. His distinct sound has stayed pretty true since he went solo.
I still think some of his best stuff goes back to his hardcore Husker Du days.

Without Mould you don't get Pixies or Nirvana!

Of course, it's all just opinion...

I find it harder to relate to something like this:

    Amazing

J-pop groups can do anything and probably get fans, hahaha I am giggling.................

And I love how they pull old guitar riffs from days past and throw it into the mix. I can see them walking into some weird milkshake bar after their performance, oh wow this is too weird.

saw Husker Du twice back in the heyday, wow.
if Mould tours again will happily attend and hear his amazing wall of guitars.

Went to Spotify: the Patch the Sky mastering seems a bit hot on track 1.
going to play Beauty & Ruin instead, that was a gem from 2014.

we now return the rest of you to symphonies and female vocalists..... :p

    edit:

    Aren't you lucky!

I think I'm going to listen to Garbage, love that clipped +1 db stuff, no really, I am going to put it on my player and go to the store to buy some flour for pizza dough. I love Manson, hahaha

Whoever thought Butch Vig was some sort of great engineer is nuts.

I'll take Butch Vig any day and twice on Tuesday. and four times on the weekend.
my pals in Denver (the Fluid) recorded with Butch, as well as the amazing Killdozer much less Die Kreuzen and Laughing Hyenas.
great era and albums of post punk.

yet actually Patch The Sky was mastered by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service, and Bob W I respect highly.
