Project Phono Box DS - $150
In like new condition, bought it to go along with my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon table. Used it for a couple of weeks with great delight and was corrupted by a TC-750 modding post. Comes with all original stuff.

Bought new from amazon 2 months ago (http://www.amazon.com/copper-Silver...F8&qid=1462714164&sr=8-1&keywords=hd800+cable). Bought because I wanted a shorter deasktop cable and realized that I actually like the longer cable.

Schiit Vali 2 - $130 SOLD
Bought from guy on HF who never opened it, and I was sent the unopened package from schiit. Above price inc. stock tube. I also have some additional tubes; Russian 6h23 (non premium) and a Phillips JAN 6922 would include both for $150 total. I have origional packagin from Schiit, but not gaurentees I can figure out how to repackage. Kinda like a rubic's cube.

I have two of these. Planned on modding one and keeping the other stock and comparing the two. Then I never got around to it. No origional packaging, just the Wyrd + wall wart

Thick like a garden hose (thats what she said) power cord. I think its $150ish new. They included it on a massdrop amp I bought a while ago.

Interest check on Bottlehead Crack + SB SOLD

Really like this amp, but I have too darn many great amps. Probably would sell in the $350 range with stock tubes, $400 with a NOS valvo ecc82, new production gold lion ecc82, and a winged "c" 6h13c / 6as7g. Wouldn't break my heart if I kept this one, but if a friend would promise to treat it right, this and a HD650 or HD800 would be a fantastic setup. I will screen you like you are trying to date my daughter.

Is the Bottlehead Crack a better match for the HD600/HD800 than the Valhalla 2, or is that a side grade?

 

They are different, even thought they are both OTL tube amps. Crack is more laid back and warmer where the Valhalla is crisper, a bit more detailed, and a bit more forward. Side grade with significantly different sound signatures. My guess would be you like the Valhalla better, but that is based on your preference of the hd600 over the hd650.

The Crack is awfully tempting. I've been debating between that, the Valhalla 2 and the Project Ember for months.

As a primarily hd650 user and future hd800 owner, so tempting.
