I think I've heard these - @Ishcabible are these the ones you had? If so these are really pretty good for the money. I thought they were a bit boomy - loose bass that seemed to trail, but overall sounded good. I bet the bass could be fixed with some modding. Clean mids and upper end, didn't hear the mid upper peak that some cheaper t50rp mods have. Sounded really good, but I prefer ZMF's. I think this would be a great basshead can. Certainly could be worth the money as it's not much more than a stock fostex and half of my ZMF blackwood.

The pair I tried might have been early production because I thought I remembered them looking a bit different.

I had a demo'd pair from Mad_Economist. These are probably the only V-shaped headphones I've ever enjoyed, and they're quite awesome to listen to. Honestly, they're better than the Alpha Prime/Dog in how enjoyable they are, and they go head to head with the Vibro (the original, not sure about Mk2.)

I'm debating on selling my seldom used 400i's to try a pair... they do seem promising.

Just ordered one, figured if I didn't like/need it, could probably sell it w/o much loss from launch pricing, will see how it goes! #midfipurgatoryforlife

I tried these. They're at least as good as the Omni. I think that's more the Omni being incredibly overpriced than these being exemplary though.

Can anyone comment as to the isolation compared to other closed backs like the PM-3?

These are awesome headphones. Best $200 you can spend on a pair of v-shaped headphones imo.

Seriously though, it's crazy how that driver can be tuned in so many different ways.

If ZMF's FR is to be believed:
Omnis definitely have more extended sub-bass than Talos, treble is likely more emphasized on Talos than Omni as well, the Talo's FR is probably most like the Vibro MK2..
