I've heard enough vinyl now, to know it's never going to be my main playback system. I have a 401 system, and I'll probably finish this 301 project. I'll probably keep a table going.. don't worry.

Sorry for the delay in responding—I’ve been off the forum for several weeks. I sent photos to Xecuter today, but honestly, I don’t think they prove much. They might just show photos of an older plinth. However, I did provide a tracking number confirming that a shipment was sent from DAS Acoustic in Hungary to my address in Denmark. I can understand why my posts have been met with some skepticism, but I did receive my order. It was significantly delayed, and I wasn’t happy about that. I politely requested a refund twice, but each time DAS Acoustic asked for my patience.

@Goldwater did indeed send me some photos of what appear to be a new plinth and a time stamped photo.

Although he did not send a tracking number so not sure why he mentions this. I won't hold my breath for delivery but all would be forgiven if I just received my plinth.

I sent the tracking number to Xecuter in my first PM on November 11th. Please see the image below. Xecuter, please confirm that this is the case.

I mentioned the tracking number because I see it as more proof than a photo.

I will not be adding more to this discussion

This is too bad. Dasacoustic is well known in the TT community for making a good product. I have one myself, they were very helpful in clearing up an issue when the package was damaged by UPS here in the states. That was early last year I think. And they are indeed based in Hungary.

This might be the result of their ebay and email presence not being attended to in a timely manner following a real-life change of situation; medical issues or retirement or such. That's a common thing and we've all seen zombie websites by now. Ebay is so automated these days I presume you can just set an ad to renew continuously.

I'm not excusing them from responsibility, I'm just hesitant to presume intentional fraud on their part.

    Hi team,

I will need @purr1n to probably chuck this on the front page for a moment if that's OK.

Today my plinth arrived from Dasacoustic. For those following a long many other people did not receive their plinths and it was believed Dasacoustic was scamming people.

I definitely believed my plinth was never coming. I received no correspondence from the team for over 3 months. Launched a refund attempt which was denied by my bank as too much time had elapsed.

I would not exactly recommend them at this point but I feel they are on the way to repairing their reputation.

So I would like to amend the title please. Dasacoustic not a scam but simply ceased communicating with customers and missed delivery dates by as much as six months.

Now communicating and hopefully remain in business. Dasacoustic did not scam me.

    yay

    That's good to know.

Lousy service is still lousy service... but a lot better than complete scam.

Do let us see the completed unit after you have fitted your deck :)

That's great, congrats. Perhaps someone can edit the thread name a bit as well so fly-by Google searchers get a clearer picture.

Now that they are communicating, what was their excuse?

They didn't elaborate. Just said, "sorry for all".
