    I had an SRD-7 Pro in the beginning, but it didn't really do the Stax earspeakers justice in my opinion. Then I had a SRM-313 I refurbed that was ok, but the SRM-T1S I refurbed later was better. Now it's just the lowly SRM-212 energizer, basically the predecessor to the modern SRM-252.

    Not possible to use speaker amp with 313, T1S, 212, or 252. They are stand alone energizers, not transformers. I did try a Pioneer m-22, Cambridge Audio 651, Mitsubishi A-D10, with the SRD-7 Pro, and felt it lacked the detail and attack of a dedicated energizer, kinda slow and soft.

  Was doing a DAC shoot out with convert 2, rockna and termi. Could not get the rockna to play nice with EC studio. 20volt output should be ok

    @purr1n. It was sft-1 to the DACs. Any idea why 20volt at 0.5 ohm on rockna would have issue with studio input transfos? C2 is 18 volt and I don't have any issue with it.

    @JustAnotherRando climate is only really unbearable in Summer, I had to have scaffolding put up to get air con into this room so had to save and wait for it to coincide with some other repairs.. @cskippy I got the quietest unit on the market and it's gotta be quieter than the cicadas anyway!

    Hilux, when you don't want to ever think about your car again. Mazda when you want a little bit more bling for buck. What are the engines used your side of the globe? I hear the new 2.6L Toyota V6 is trouble in hot climate.

    The 2.8 litre diesel is the new generation Hilux engine. Some early issues with the particulate filter, a little less powerful than Mazda and ford engine but far more refined and economical.
    I also figure if I hate it the resale will be excellent
